I wouldn't mind doing that - but I fear this would break the batteries earlier. As far as I know about LiIon batteries, each charging cycle counts, no matter whether it's a complete or a partial one, and after a certain number of cycles, the batteries slowly die. Of course the batteries can be easily replaced, but I don't know whether the Cybook batteries are of any standard type or not (anyone?).
Last time I read up on this the claim was that it does not count as a whole cycle. It just counts for the percentage you actually charged so the recommendation as to top it up often. Fully discharging is not so good. And strong heat is not so good which might explain why laptop batteries are more sensitive.
