Oh, that is awful! I should also warn any college students to be sure to go to the correct FAFSA site (.gov not .com). There are a lot of fake sites out there. I have seen this happen to more than one student.

The scammers are a pain. My mother had just gotten PayPal and she got one of those fake notices about her PayPal acct. It freaked her out so much she cancelled PayPal, even though it wasn't their fault.
