Out of curiosity, do the ebooks (FINALLY) contain the two infamous "lost" paragraphs that were missing in most previous editions?
The first of them is in HMS Surprise, read
here.
An easy way to check is to search for the sentence:

"Stourton's reputation was that of the hard-horse first lieutenant of the Narcissus."

The "lost" paragraph should be right above it.
The second is not as well known, it occurs in "Desolation Island".
One sentence is missing in the printed books:
Quote:
'But sir, as she herself confesses, she is with child.'

Without this sentence, Stephen's following comment makes no sense. Read about it on
this archived thread; to find out if it's in the ebook, search for "serricunnium" - it should be two sentences earlier.
It's trivial to have these mistakes fixed in a newly prepared digital copy, will the publisher have bothered to do so?
