1. Page numbers - so I can have a more accurate idea of how much reading I've accomplished.

2. A function that allows you to highlight words you don't know the definition of and localises them all to the same place along with their definition so you can find a list of all the words you want to learn on one page.

3. The capacity to generate some sort of recommended reading list based on the books mentioned in the book you are reading. Often I'll read a book and the author will mention other books and instead of writing them down or highlighting them it would be so much better for there to be a way of adding books you are interested in to some sort of list.
For #2 you could go to the Full Definition and highlight the word there (in the dictionary itself). Your list of Notes and Highlights for the dictionary could then comprise your 'learning' list. When viewing the dictionary 'Notes and Marks', you'll want to set the 'Show..' option to 'Your Notes and Marks' or 'Your Highlights', or you'll see all of the 'Popular highlights' as well (who knew the dictionaries had Popular Highlights?).

As for #3, Kindle Touch is a bit of a regression from Kindle Keyboard. On the latter, I believe, you could highlight a phrase (e.g. a book title or author) and then search Kindle Store (or Google, or My Items). But those options are gone from KT, at least until we can compel Amazon to restore them. This would let you jump to the book description in Kindle Store and add it to your wish list or download a sample to keep track of it. I should think that at least the ability to launch a search of Kindle Store by such means is something Amazon would have a strong interest in providing since it makes it convenient to buy ebooks.

Along the lines of #1 I would like to see some 'chapter reading progress' status, perhaps when you activate the menus/options. '12 page turns left in chapter' or something of that nature. I often want to get to the end of a chapter before stepping away from my reading, and want some idea of how long that will take. What I usually do is note the current location, jump to the beginning of the next chapter (swipe up), note that location, and mentally compute an offset which gives me a rough idea, then use Back to jump back to where I'm at. But it is not very intuitive. I just want to know how many times I need to turn the page to get to the end of the chapter. Not 'real pages', not Locations, but 'Kindle pages'.
