These are excellent recommendations. Based on what you have read, I would add The Crystal Cave by Mary Stewart and 1632 by Eric Flint. I would also encourage you to read some romances by Jane Ann Krentz. And try Naked in Death by J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts.)
