Don't blame the library, the limit on copies is set by the publishers I believe.
As someone in the UK I am glad that I can download eBooks from my Public Library, and as yet don't have to wait too long to do so.
I also still like visiting the library, and in some ways it is easier to thumb through the books and pick one or two out.
I don't think there have been any "cutbacks" in our libraries here yet. However if eBooks take off, the danger is that this will be used as an excuse to do just that, which will be a shame as there are, and probably always will be many people who prefer to read a paper book.
