I remember the savings I made when I lived in Tokyo and Amazon opened up for business. I could buy three or four paperbacks for the price of one hard cover at Maruzen or Kinokuniya. Paperbacks wouldn't even arrive in Japan until sx months later.
eBooks are a Godsend for expatriates.
