eReaderIQ is my favorite because there are so many ways to sort the free books.
I check for new freebies every day, so I usually set it to "Last 24 Hours." I also find it helpful to sort by "Stars and Reviews" so it'll list the higher-rated books first, and (for me) it's easier to scan the results using "List" rather than "Grid." It's nice that you can narrow by genre too ("View List" under "Show Genres").
