Wha??? You mean to say that you do NOT have an anvil??!?? Even I have an anvil, and I live in an apartment!!
('course, my anvil is not a 'regulation' blacksmith's anvil. It's a 8" section of railroad rail, that works perfectly for a hobbyist's anvil! Most large homecenter/DIY shops sell them these days.
