Sounds good to me. It's a good idea to read the Poirot novels in order (you don't have to read every one, but don't read earlier ones before later ones) because he often talks about his earlier cases, and gives away their solution. The same thing occurs to a rather lesser extent in the "Miss Marple" novels (in particular, you should read "A Caribbean Mystery" before "Nemesis").
