Hi Daffy,

The question in this particular case was not how Kindle problems are handled once the warranty expires, but how non-warranty repairs are handled, and the person involved was undeniably told by Amazon "we don't offer a repair service". Perhaps they will set one up in the future once warranties do start expiring, but it would seem that a repair service is not available at the present time.
