Not on the Xperia Mini (I don't have one) but on its slightly bigger brother (3.2" Live with Walkman) and the similarly sized but rugged Xperia Active, yes ICS is pretty awesome. I actually find it more responsive compared to GB. The built-in data counters are pretty neat (albeit something I already had with GB via 3G Watchdog) and the menus in ICS is just cleaner/more intuitive. However, the thing I like most about the upgrade is the new stock web browser. It's a big improvement over GB stock. I don't like most of the 3rd party browsers I've tried (Firefox, Opera, Dolphin, etc) so the improved stock browser is quite welcome (as is Chrome availability).

HD recording might be a bit questionable with ICS, though. I've never tried it and I've seen reports where people were getting choppy HD recordings ever since they upgraded.
