I would say there is nothing wrong with the DB (The DB is the key part of the Library)
Check the permissions (and ownership) on ALL files and Folder names in the Library. You may have a Windows Filesystem error.

A TESTONLY: Try and add (rename) Just a number 5 onto the end of the (problem) Author Name folder.
Did it change without error? Put it back the way it was (remove the 5) carefully
