I experimented with them. If you plan to keep a lot of chips (5-10 cards worth), I found that they took up as much space as putting the micro Sd's in an sd holders and putting the combination in a zipper case. I put the cards in question in a business card /credit card holder to keep the dust and dirt off of them. That took up extra space, and they rattled in the case as well...

What would really be cool would be a SD holder, that wasn't functional, but had a slot for a SD chip on each side, holding 4 SD chip per SD holder. They put that in a zipper case.
