And I must apologise again to the film. One thing ("I do not fear the dead") I though they had Aragorn mis-quote was actually said by Legolas in the book. (And I think is given to Aragorn in the BBC radio series.)

But I think the film-maker's desire for spectacle overcame them in the section on The Paths of the Dead. It was very silly in the film, but I can see that depicting brooding horror and darkness is difficult visually.
