I have no plans to make Sunrise open-source. Even if it were to be made open-source, it's doubtful that people would actually take the effort to study the code and maintain the software. Last year I had e-mails from several people saying they were going to fork the JPluck code, but I still haven't seen any actual releases. Only goes to show that supporting a relatively rich application is far more work than you might think. Most developers like to add new features, but hate to maintain an existing codebase, especially if they're not getting paid for it.
