Hi. It's happening to me too since the last update.
The player also stops working in sleep mode, I used to be able to listen to it whilst not reading and walking along.
The latest issue I've now encountered with it is pressing play but no music comes out but it's showing me what it's "playing now". Gutted!
I tried a factory reset and it's not solved the issue... :-((
