Gudy, but there have been, I'm told, time when significant changes happen between eARC and Final.
For many of us, the main advantage of an eARC is we get it NOW instead of in 3-5 months. Of course, that's a vicious cycle, since the wait till the next one from a favourite author starts now as well.

Of course, the main disadvantage of an eARC is that it's $15 instead of $6. And, of course, the occasional formatting glitch, typo, or content mistake.
eARCs are never part of a Webscription (or whatever non-memorable name they're using now), but the final version will be part of a bundle. In the case of
Captain Vorpatril's Alliance, the final version won't be released until the November bundle. I just wasn't willing to wait that long.
