@guybrushT: They don't change while the Kindle sleep either, even on a default firmware. Ads, maybe, I'm not familiar with KSO devices, but screensavers, no.
Each 'going to sleep' event switches to the next screensaver in the list, but while the Kindle sleep, it's *sleeping*, nothing changes
