This is also my big question; in particular, I'm looking for the Japanese support features to make their way to the American market. As a student of Japanese, what I need in an e-reader is a good J-E dictionary and the ability to enter search terms using the touch screen (e.g. drawing characters in addition to phonetic keyboard IME). Also, in the book store, I want to see my most-used textbooks. Finally, the ability to load flashcard software like Anki, whether by an app store or by side-loading, would be great.

The first manufacturer to provide all of the above will get my business.
