In other words, the kind of people who have $100 to pay for an eReader are often the kind of people who are used to paying for books.

My library's selection of new paper books has, due to cutbacks, gotten so poor that, by comparison, the Overdrive selection seems better. (Although the local Overdrive selection is for the whole county, and perhaps the paper selection for the county as a while is better. Plus I have Overdrive access from multiple counties. So Overdrive certainly
seems better.)
Two of the six libraries in our township are current closed for major renovation projects in which they are physically expanding. I know it is easier to raise money for bricks than books, but, well, I still don't like the priorities.
