I would go even smaller to avoid running out of resources (allow cleanup between jobs).
Other than having to attend Calibre, big batches don't gain much and if you run into one of those files that takes forever to convert... well.
BTW Set Windows auto-update to Ask when to do... If it fires off and wants a reboot you have to be there an click 'Later' every 30 minutes or it will kill your job and reboot if left alone
