I don't think so since when volume+ was being used, it made these popping sounds even when the volume was low. I only used the volume boosted once or twice to see if it worked, then heard the noises when volume was lowered. The minute I uninstalled the volume+ program, it stopped. I don't need to boost the volume but once in a while, but like the convenient sliding volume without the slider interfering with my games.
