Truthfully, I'm a bit of a gadget junkie, so I'm just looking for an excuse to pick up the nook -- especially since they came out with the GlowLight.

The only clear advantages I see to the Kindle is that borrowing library books is so easy because they will transfer over wifi rather than USB, and having 3G access (although I haven't needed to use it since getting the Kindle in January). But the nook is just so much more comfortable to hold and the UI just seems more intuitive and friendly, somehow.

What I'm thinking of doing is keeping my Kindle for library books so I don't lose the ease of downloading directly, and picking up the nook for books that I purchase so that I'm not locked into a single ecosystem.

Hmmm...this gadget junkie thinks this sounds like a good excuse to pick up a new toy.
