Kumaryu,
I agree fully with HarryT about trying to read most pdf files with a 6" reader. It is possible, but hardly ideal. I've been able to use my Sony prs950 7" reader if the page margins are severely cropped, but even then an extended bout of reading gives me much eyestrain.
I waited for two years to find an ideal 10" e-ink reader, and finally purchased a 10.1" color tablet, the AT&T-HTC Jetstream, at the greatly reduced price now available from the AT&T store (a refurb that looks perfectly new and with all accessories) - a super tablet that even has gps satellite capability, unlike the IPad. Reading quality of pdf files is outstanding with the tablet, except that one cannot use it in bright sunlight, and of course, the battery must be recharged much more often than with e-ink.
The refurbished tablet, that I've rooted, was less expensive than the current large screen e-ink readers, and provides much more value for the cost - for example if one travels much, as I do, the beautifully detailed 10" gps. city/road maps are very helpful.
