Here are pictures of silicone sleeve for Kobo Touch and .8 mm thick steel screen protector I made. I could cut screen protector just under full length and width because button is resessed for TRS-T1 I would cut it short enough not to push against row of buttons.
Used 22 ga. steel Galvalume roofing metal I had as scrap. Shear to size rounding corners. Shearing steel forms sharp edges that I ground off by dragging edge against concrete driveway. Tape edges of cover with plastic electrical tape.
