I've been happily married for 16 years now, and I have a beautiful 13-year-old daughter. As a book-aholic, I find sanctuary in escaping with a good book. Actually I’m an expert escapist; whether in books, painting or exploring the outdoors, I prove to be a classic introvert. At least in books I'm granted the opportunity to travel into someone else’s mind for awhile. I am an author and journalist; but in here, I’m more of the insatiable and eclectic reader.

As an author though, I think I may be amiss if I don't include my bio for my work, as well. Elyse Draper, as a native Coloradan, brings a distinctive vision of the Rocky Mountains to life. When that sight is combined with her love of world travel, history, sociological sciences, psychology, and humanism, the outcome is a setting that spans the world and imagination. That aptitude when mixed with an educational background of law, philosophy, and French, brings the result of a fantastic yet realistic renaissance story line, ultimately taking the reader on an exceptional journey.

I have to admit, my forte falls squarely in the midst of imagination and wordplay … PR and marketing are my strong points when selling others, but I find it uncomfortable to market myself. So, I just keep trying to improve my writing, read at every opportunity, find fellow book-aholics with whom I can share my addiction, and revel in my luck at finding wonderful sites such as this one.
