The easiest way (I use a T1 & a 650/ 350, and a Bookeen, with Calibre and find it brilliant.)
is to just simply ignore/forget the Sony Reader guff - when the pop-up asking you what to do with this download appears, simply change the default to "Save to File" instead of "Open with Reader" or whatever it is.
Then when you hit go each time, it'll simply add the book to your list of d/loads before your very eyes - then just drag 'n drop from there into the Calibre library area.
Done.
