Don't get a card above 2GB. The Gen3 doesn't support SDHC, and although 4GB non-SDHC cards are available, the way they are "addressed" is non-standard, and you'll probably find that you can't see any files beyond the 2GB mark on the card.

I would have though that 2.5GB of books would be enough to keep you going for a while, though. I currently have 260 books on my Gen3 - half of them large "omnibus" editions containing multiple books - and I'm using well under half the internal memory to store them.
