as good, the enormous popularity of them that kickstarted so many people to keep reading and buying every new release is still there, and they are short enough that it may not matter as much to many people of the voracious "constant reader" variety. For me, reading them "out of order" may miss a progression of continuity which is an inherent part of their attraction - that feeling of being part of an ever-expanding "in-joke". Plus, it can be good reading a series that
improves as it goes along.
So, my attitude is that for many (such as Ricky is doing) there's a reasonable probability that satisfaction will be obtained reading in the published order rather than concerning oneself about the "right" order to read them in. As I didn't dismiss any previous opinions to read otherwise, I am offering that dismissal of published order is not necessary either.
