Something is really broken if it takes much longer to transfer the correct format. Do turn off the Antivirus scan of your 'sony T1 drive', that could be hammering the connection while the a/v access every file it can see on the T1  |
Depends. CPU speed can affect transfer speed (particularly the sending metadata and collections portion). If using an old PC, it's possible that the OP may have USB 1.1 which can further reduce transfer speeds. The number of books being transferred plays a big part. Had to leave my ebook reader connected to the PC overnight when I transferred 3,000+ books from my crappy nettop.
