I just upgraded from Abbyy Finereader 10 to 11.
After the upgrade, the right hand pane (that shows what the finished pdf will look like) no longer shows the pictures in the picture areas. Instead it just outlines the area that contains the picture and says "picture".
This is infuriating - I need to see that the picture is there and looking the way it should.
I never had any problems, or changed anything for this to happen correctly in v. 10.
Does anyone know anything about this? How can I fix the problem?

Yes, formatted text showed the pictures.
Likewise, selecting output file as PDF in the "Save" dropdown
And "Keep Images" works like you said too..
