Yes. There is a YouTube video from seaniko7, showing how to "unbrick" a kindle 3 using the serial port. Details are provided in the Kindle Developer's Corner forum. Use the Dev Corner master index sticky. Look in the Tools Index, and the K3 Index. If you do not have your own backup copy of your kindle firmware image, you can request a K3 firmware image in the Dev Corner forum, and somebody may PM you a link. Firmware images cannot be directly linked from the forum for legal reasons.
