Also, when I lived in England back in the mid-70's, there was a comedy that took place in Wales. Just a bunch of locals in some seaside town and it took me a lot of watching before I got the humor but I did like the show. Just can't recall the name. And don't think it ever made it to the US

Ruth Madoc, who I believe did the "Hi-De-Hi" announcements, also starred as Mrs Dai Bread Two in the telly version of
Under Milkwood in 1972, and was the voice of Lily Smalls in the re-recording of it as a "play for voices/radio" in 1988.
