Sorry for only delivering a short intermezzo right now... I'm working on it, but I'm currently a bit short on time.
@milancete:
Muchas gracias for the contribution! It will be included in the next release.
@cscat: You are wildly combining things that are meant for 5.1.0 and 5.0.*. For all that we currently know,
firmware 5.1.* completely, utterly, breaks downward compatibility with all 5.0.* firmwares. There are quite a few rants about this on the forum, but that's not the point...
In short: the
jbpatch framework as such could most probably work on 5.0.*, but it might need some adaptations.
@techiemonkey, (sdrs), etc.:
the patches are working. Please make sure to follow the instructions.
@acajac: I'm not sure if I completely understood what you mean, but from what I did understand, your request might be a rather challenging one. I'll try to cater for it, but no guarantees...
@all:
I'm working on the new version of jbpatch. Much of the existing code has already been adapted to it, but a few features, like the user interface for configuring settings, still need a lot of work. In the mean time, below are some
very early development screenshots of the UI of version 2.0.

The final version will provide a nicer and more complete UI. However, I currently can't predict when that final version will be ready.
