To do useful stuff, you need your kindlet to escape the restricted sandbox. More than one solution for that has been provided here. The way to get the MOST powerful kindlets is to use a custom Java class loader.

Official amazon apps would certainly NOT be allowed to have such power, which would require hacks, if they were to be distributed by amazon.
