Took it for a test drive! It really works well! I have always used push mowers, but was getting tired of sharpening the blades, and having to go back over the same area multiple times to get a close cut without jamming. This model doesn't have the blades hit a stationary bar, so they stay sharp much longer. It has a flywheel mechanism - pushing the mower spins the blades - and the spin rate increases as you keep pushing it - so you can hit the tall weeds with spinning blades which cut them down nicely.

So does it really cut weeds? I've got a traditional design reel mower kind of like that, and it does fine on the grass but the weeds just pop back up once you pass over them. I'd love to have one that will cut the weeds too.
