Havin' my baby
What a lovely way of sayin'
How much you love me
Havin' my baby
What a lovely way of sayin'
What you're thinkin' of me
I can see it, face is glowin'
I can see in your eyes
I'm happy you know it

Good morning, all! Saturday morning breakfast... "English Breakfast" tea from Taylors of Harrogate, and warm French bread right out of the oven, sliced cold cuts, a few different cheeses, and all is well in my world.

The drug of choice for induction is "P-tosin," or better known as Oxytocin. It's sometimes called the 'let down hormone.' It causes contractions and it stimulates milk flow... One of the body's natural 'triggers' for oxytocin production is stimulation of the mammary glands. The word oxytocin was derived from the Greek ὼκυτοκίνη, ōkytokínē, meaning “quick birth”, after its uterine-contracting properties were discovered by British pharmacologist Sir Henry Hallett Dale in 1906. Let's avoid the Doctor's role in this, and get hubby into the act... NOW is the time for natural production of oxytocin to bring on natural delivery... Jiggle! Play! Jiggle! Take a look here.

Baby boy does not seem to agree with this assessment and is happily avoiding dropping while chilaxing in the womb.
Having tried to crawl back in several times myself, I can understand his reluctance to leave...

I can just picture the little big guy going "Nah, I want to come now" and making an appearence next week just cause he can. (winks)
When my son decided he didn't want to arrive just yet, we tried all the usual tricks... rides down very bumpy roads... going off into the woods where there were no phones to call a doctor... etc.,. Being a true son of mine, he waited until I had had a very late night and really wanted to sleep in, and woke my wife up at 6:30 with 'Mom, here I come.' She woke me, simply refused to let me have 'just another 15 minutes, please?' and off we went with the baby knocking on the door the whole ride into town. We got to the hospital with just enough time for each of us to go to our respective dressing rooms, then the delivery room, (which is where I learned how much fun it could be helping to stimulate Oxytocin production, as that was my job in the delivery,) and then Whooosh!!! Out popped a baby a few minutes later! They didn't permit cameras in the delivery room in those days, but I sure do have the pictures right inside my head! What a sight!

ProfCrash... it's going to be just as easy for you too! We're all pulling for ya!
