We can't really compare that because iPad/iPhone customers pay monthly plans if they use 3G, while Kindle users don't... We know that Amazon is most likely overcharging with the $/MB thing (more so now that so many Kindles are wifi-only), but I guess I just see it more as a way to get authors to control their files' size.
