By 15 kids are tracked in many schools. You might not know it but it has happened. Normally the kids who are not college bound are taking easier classes by the ninth grade. Kids going to college will have the harder math, science, language arts, a foreign language, and some type of social science. Due to learning disabilities my school tried to wave science, math, and foreign language for me. My parents would not let them but it sure as hell knew about tracking far sooner then most of my classmates.
