I kind of like the Thrive better than the excite. I really like Toshiba's concept of the Thrive tablet. The excite, to me, is just another tablet, though it is very thin an sleek.

In the end I purchased my wife a transformer because it is a better deal and has a docking stating that enhances the tablet.

On a side note the Excite 7.7" has gotten really good reviews, probably it's biggest criticism is the price of $499.
