Well, I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.... (but I'm apparently missing it....)
Seems like most of us here (me included) complain when an ebook is NOT priced cheaper than a physical book, and it seems like that's exactly the situation that you're detailing?
US prices run typically $7.89 in ebook, a little over $15 for A-stock paperback (at Amazon)-- similar ratio, with the UK 'premium' for actual printing being just a little higher than the 'premium' in the US, but the ebook price being slightly lower at today's conversion rate.
