Private Content with shared Account/Kindels
I think I screwed up.
I have been slowly introducing Kindles to the women in my life. First my wife, then we bought one for her mother and recently one for my Mom. My daughter has recently co-opped her mothers kindle all tied to my account.
My mother and mother-in-law are retired with fixed-incomes so this lets me buy books that they can read so they don't struggle with the food vs latest Evanovitch/Reichs/Patterson novel.
But since they can all sync and see my collection I now have to be careful of what I buy.
If I wanted to try "Desires Sirocco" or "Fifty Shades of Grey" - they would all see it when they went to sync/look for new books in my collection. This could lead to odd-looks.
Is there any way to separate the content on Amazon so only my kindle can see it? I thought about the order the book, sync to my kindle then delete the book from Amazon all within two minutes. But that feels ... sleazy. I'm not too ashamed of the "Gor" novels, Kushels Dart or even the "Fifty Shades" book, but it would be nice to be able to mark some stuff 'Private'.
Anyone have a suggestion?
True story: I tried an audio-book of "Nice Girls don't have Fangs" for my commute. (Dont judge me - too many serial-killer stories in a row makes me paranoid).
My daughter has started an internship at a hospital near to work so she commutes with me. I had to sit there while the book talked about near-sex experiences including discussion of the "..the strawberry shaped wet patch on my panties". It was awkward. At the moment I have no privacy with my Kindle books or audio-books.
