The point of these drawings isn't to produce a portrait, with all features, but only to draw the areas in shadow.
This is a girl in swim bottoms, a white t-shirt, and a big hat.
It's perfectly possible for a girl drawn in this manner to look exactly like an old boot, though she probably wouldn't be flattered at the comparison.
