I use a silicone slip on case. It does not cover the whole bevel. I was reading in bright sunlight in the car last week and never noticed any glare. I believe about 1/4" of the bevel is showing. The cheap silicone cover I got from Amazon and the same are on eBay too.

It is more like a bumper. But I sure saved my new PRS-T1 the other day. I had it in my hands, bent over to hook the USB cable up to the computer (concrete floor) and somehow the whole Reader flew out of my hand up in the air and in slow motion... I kept saying "Please land on the case", the whole thing ended up landing in the office chair.

I have noticed the silicone cover really keeps it from sliding in strange ways that I read. I can easily cross my legs and set it on the top leg, let go of it and read. I have set it on the arm of the sofa and it also sticks to it. It is not going to slide anywhere.
