Okay, just wanted to make sure you understood we Amazon Prime members were not getting a discount on the book, just a cheesey offer to borrow it.

BTW, I find the Amazon search options to be rather flaky, at least for items that are not Kindle books. As you start to check off options the search results can be strangely affected. I suspect like Google certain items/vendors are getting very special treatment.

There also seems to be little or no policing of privately listed items. An item that sales for $100 new by most vendors on most websites can have entries on Amazon.com that are priced at way over $1000. I guess these sleazy vendors are trying to take advantage of people mindlessly using the one-click purchase and then hoping they don't catch their mistake until much later. It isn't like you don't get at least one email from Amazon showing the purchase and purchase price, but we still hear of people claiming items showed up at their doorstep which they didn't know they had purchased. Even Leo LePorte (sp?) from TWITTV acted surprised when he received a Kindle in the mail, and he is a self-proclaimed tech and internet expert. so apparently people can make purchases they didn't know they had, although there is little excuse for this as they have plenty of time to cancel any orders before they ship.
