No, four isn't the answer, and neither is flattening the cube. The cube must be a genuine regular six sided cube with 90 degree corners, all sides being squares the same size and joined up. I'm not playing games with hypercubes or other figures. It's just a cube you have to make and position to be able to see as many of the opaque sides as possible.
I'll wait for some more responses before I give any more clues.
