It probably takes a LOT less energy to check existing index links, than to exhaustively search raw text and then to sort and index things to build a new index, but "no additional work" is an absolute decaration which is very hard to prove and very easy to disprove (as are most absolutes). It is always safer to insert a bunch of "
weasel words" like lawyers and politicians are fond of, to avoid speaking in absolutes.
