Hi Marty, I'm getting used to it now, but i think if it's such a pain to roll back the software, i might as well try rooting it and just read with coolreader where i understand you can set after how many pages to refresh. I'm not very good with computers though and the few easy guides i've found don't really address the million problems that can come up, like sd card formatting problems etc.
I chose the Nook over the Sony because of how well it ran after rooting and how stable it was, and i wanted to be able to read some educational books i have in chm format and pdf, but it seems i'm no good with it.
