If the pats don't work, then she starts the cold wet nose kisses. Having a cold cat nose jammed into your ear hole does wake you up.
So ... starting a few weeks ago, Stella has decided to try to get me up at 5 am. She weighs in now at a bit over 12 pounds. She will jump onto the bed and land on my ribs, wait a few minutes to see if I react, and then plunks down on my sternum and goes to sleep. Suffocation is quite an effective means of waking me up.
I tried sleeping on my side. She jumped up onto my shoulder, fell off, climbed back up and spent several minutes teetering back & forth trying to balance on my shoulder. She then slid off and plunked down behind my knees.
Needless to say ... since I am able to describe these actions in such vivid detail ... she is succeeding in waking me up.
Any suggestions on how to reset her back to 6 am?
